We made it back to the States yesterday afternoon! On one hand, we were so excited to set foot on American soil again...after 24+ hours of travel. What a rude awakening though to go from 80+ degree temps in Uganda to under 50 in LA! :)
Riley was really sad to leave Uganda and in the airport told us she didn't want to go home. We asked if she wanted to see her dog and her friends, toys, etc. She said "no, they can come here!" Guess she's just like her momma....she left a piece of her heart in Africa too.
There's still a lot of blogging to do about our last few days in Uganda. I plan to do that over the next few days so stay tuned. Just wanted you to know that were back...safe & sound.
